Why a VPS?

In short, a VPS (Virtual Private Server) is just like having a 'mini' dedicated server at a fraction of the cost. VPS hosting is also known as semi-dedicated hosting because it takes a "slice" of an actual dedicated hardware node and creates a virtual server using virtualization technology. The virtual server would have it's own dedicated resources including RAM, disk space, CPU Power, and bandwidth that is taken from the dedicated host node itself.

Our VPS's are based on the OpenVZ platform, the opensource basis of the Parallels product, Virtuozzo. We use a product called SolusVM for VPS management. This allows you to reboot your VPS as well as check up on your bandwidth, memory and other resource usages. It also lets you instantly reinstall an operating system at any time, for free! We provide SolusVM for free with all VPS orders, and include a console should you accidentally get locked out.

Virtual Servers are ideal for those looking to step up from a shared or reseller account, or for those that require more control & flexibility over their hosting accounts. You can install your own server applications and run the software you want. We offer a range of plans which we think you'll love, however if you are looking for a custom plan don't hesitate to contact our sales team who will be happy to put together a custom quote.
